Dinner - Come Prima, Italian, Crowne Plaza

Wanted to try something new this time. When we do go out, we tend to go to the Left Bank, however last time there, the food was very ordinary, and the service was not much better.
As our group includes two vegetarians, it is always a challenge to find somewhere that offers some choice for them.
The Italian restaurant at the Crowne Plaza, Come Prima, did just that.
It was nice for them to be able to have something different for their starter and main course.
The service was a bit slow, I think we had a "trainee". There was a great deal of confusion with our drinks order, we had to ask three times for one drink. But, these are some of the things you become accustomed to here.
We had a table outside, which was lovely, the weather at this time of year is so nice. The view from the terrace takes in the corniche and one of the topics of conversation was, why the traffic jam along there, considering only one of the four cafes there is actually open. And really, who wants to have dinner at Starbucks?
Back to our meal, four different starters, and apart from the goats cheese salad needing more than three pieces of goats cheese, everyone was pleased with their choice.
The main courses were also well received. Four different meals and each of us thoroughly enjoyed them. There was a minor hiccup with the Beef Fillet, order was for green pepper sauce on the side, however it arrived swimming in it. A quick word to the waiter, and very promptly another one arrived, as per order. The grilled seafood was huge! It actually defeated the one who ordered it, he was unable to finish it.
All the meals were a generous size, and really after a Starter, then Main course, we were not able to squeeze in dessert, even though they all sounded very nice.
On the whole, a very positive review. Will certainly go there again.
